iA Labs is a spin off formed to support the development of products like iA Writer and to experiment with new technology and information concepts. iA Labs is seated in Zurich, Switzerland.

The experience gained by building our own products is what gives iA the edge over its competitors. Few other agencies invest as much in their internal projects. Instead of growing our head count, we decided to spend our profits on the development of our own products. The success of iA Writer doesn’t come out of the blue. It’s the result of years of testing, of trying and failing many times. Finally, we have found a product that works.

Both writer apps combined sold over 200,000 copies since the launch of iA Writer for iPad in October 2010 and iA Writer for Mac in June 2011. We have big plans with future versions of our tool for focused writing. What you currently see is just the tip of the iceberg.

But iA Labs is not just iA Writer. The idea is to experiment with new technology and information concepts in order to make sure that iA stays at least one step ahead.
